Mike Fitzsimmons

Mike Fitzsimmons has been on the air in Spokane since 1974. He's been a radio and television news director for several local stations and is currently the host of KXLY 920 News Scope.

Mike is also a broadcasting instructor at Gonzaga University and had a long stint as an unlimited hydroplane racing announcer.

One of the outstanding accomplishments in Mike's broadcast career came in May, 1980, when he spent a marathon 56 hours on air reporting the Mt. St. Helens eruption and its effects on Eastern Washington.
